The knowledge sharing seminar by

Prof. Dr. Anh-Tuan Le

Phenikaa University, Vietnam

You are warmly welcome to our knowledge sharing seminar this month presented by Prof. Anh-Tuan Le at Phenikaa University in Vietnam. He is Director of Phenikaa University Nano Institute (PHENA). Currently, he is leading a key Research Group of Nanomaterials for Enviromental and Biomedical Applications (NEB Lab).

Title: Development of Advanced Functional Nanomaterials for Smart Sensing and Biomedical Applications: Recent Advances, Challenges and Future Perspectives

Abstract: In this talk, we will present design and development of various advanced functional nanomaterials (0D nanoparticles, 2D nanostructures and 0D-2D nanohybrids) by using different synthesis approches. The exhibited oustanding properties of functional nanostructures are discovered, which are very promising for technological potential applications in the field of smart sensing devices, biomedicine, environment and agriculture. Next, we will discuss about (i) the use of advanced functional nanomaterials for enhancing performance of smart sensing devices including electrochemistry, photometry and colorimentry for food safety and environmental monitoring; (ii) design of functional nanostructures for fighting against microorganisms and diseases. The data analysis of sensing performance, reliability, and reproducibility among these different functional nanomaterials will help further understand the key factors that can improve the performance in realizing the rapid alert systems for practical applications. Recent advances, challenges and future perspectives of advanced functional nanomaterials for smart sensing and diseases monitroing applications are presented and discussed.
